Pricing - Ordering Procedures for Non-opening irregular portlights & windows
CloZures for these portlights cannot be ordered online. These shutters are custom manufactured and patterns are usually required.
Step #1 Make a quick estimate
CloZures are sold by the square inch. Measure the lens-glass of your portlights, then use the pricing guide below. The PRICE ASSIST CALCULATOR (below) is very helpful.
Determine square inches, then acquire pricing for each individual portlight from the table below.
WIDTH x HEIGHT = Square inches.
The One-Time Charge for a new pattern applies to the creation of a new pattern file that does not exist in our system. If that file is re-used (duplicate or mirrored image) the Pattern On-File reduced price is used.

Step #2 CloZures Price Estimate Worksheet
Provide portlight information via the CloZures Estimate Worksheet. Make copies, take to boat, fill in as per example below, send to Zarcor.
Step #3 Pattern Making
Make new paper patterns or approve provided patterns. (click any image below to enlarge)
Picture #1
If you’ve ordered a CloZure for an irregular shaped portlight and we have that pattern on file, we’ll send that pattern for you to approve.
In PICTURE #1 you’ll note a red line on 3 sides of the paper pattern. The red line represents our stock pattern on file.
- Place the straight, bottom edge (un-marked) of the pattern on the portlight frame and confirm the red lines for other 3 sides. See pictures #2 and #3.
- If the Red Line matches your portlight (1/16–1/8" clearance acceptable) let us know. If not re-mark and return the pattern(s) to Zarcor. Cut the pattern to size if desired.
- If we do not have patterns for your boat’s irregular portlights on file, you will need to make new patterns. Follow above procedure. Cut paper 1-2 inches larger than the portlight. Keep straight edge to place on frame, and then follow steps in pictures #2 and #3. Cut to marked line if desired.
Helpful tips
- Use freezer paper - found in grocery store.
- Use dull pencil to mark lines. Do not use felt marker.
- Mark each pattern with info: boat customer, brand, bow/top/aft
- Do not use wax paper.

Picture #2
Have an assistant hold the paper firmly to the glass/lens of the portlight. With your finger press/roll the paper into the corner along all 3 sides. |
Picture #3
While still holding the pattern to the glass, mark the creased paper with a dull pencil on all 3 sides.
